School and Academy Mechanical and Electrical Surveys
Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Surveys are an essential component of surveying your MAT or Academy premises to provide pupils with an optimum and safe learning environment.
At S2e we value the importance of understanding the condition of electrical and mechanical components and provide you with invaluable insight into the current state of your building. Our team of qualified surveyors will provide a detailed health check of your premises by reviewing the condition of your mechanical and electrical systems, such as heating and heat distribution, hot water generation and distribution, electrical wiring, lighting and fire alarm systems. Inspection of all M&E systems allows us to inform you of any issues that might affect the life expectancy and effectiveness of your building services and provide an assessment of the remedial works required.
A Mechanical & Electrical Survey will cover the following areas:
Boilers
Ventilation and Air Conditioning
Electrical Wiring and Controls
Alarms and Safety
Lighting
How do M&E Surveys Add Value?
By conducting a ‘behind the scenes’ look at your systems, we are able to:
Measure the effectiveness, energy efficiency and life expectancy of your systems
Highlight any underlying problems and risks associated with equipment and systems
Identify defects to improve the performance of the building
Provide a report outlining a proposed maintenance strategy, current state of repair, breaches in health and safety, life cycle and associated costs of repairs and renewals.
Our mechanical and electrical engineering surveys are fully comprehensive – providing you with peace of mind that your property is in good health. It also provides crucial documentary evidence when prioritising its Schools Condition Allocations (SCA), or for an Academy in support of its applications for a Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) grant.
