Our commitment to the environment
At Surveyors to Education (S2e), we understand our responsibility towards the environment and are committed to helping schools and educational institutions on their journey towards sustainability and achieving Net Zero emissions. This commitment is not only about aiding schools and Trusts in reducing their carbon footprint, but also assessing our own impact as a company.
Planting trees to help the environment
That is why we are pleased to announce that we are now contributing to the planting of 20 trees a month, through our partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain. This effort helps offset 15 tonnes of CO2 annually, aligning our operations with environmental sustainability by neutralising our carbon footprint.
Carbon Neutral Britain is the UK's leading carbon offsetting initiative, helping British businesses make an impact on climate change. Increased carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases are the biggest cause of global warming on our planet, so we are delighted to support the planting of trees in sustainable projects around the world - from British woodland management and creation, to tree planting in the Amazon rainforest.
Supporting schools on their path to Net Zero
Surveyors to Education is dedicated to supporting schools and colleges on their path to achieving Net Zero. Starting in 2025, educational institutions will be required to appoint a sustainability lead and develop a climate action plan. Our Estates Energy Strategy service offers schools and colleges a thorough assessment of their energy performance. This includes monitoring energy usage, evaluating the building's fabric, identifying inefficiencies in building elements, exploring renewable energy options, and recommending overall sustainability improvements. We're here to guide you through every step towards a more sustainable future.
Helping the next generation to protect their environment
By working with education estates to understand and reduce their impact on the climate and environment, we are also helping them to build a sustainable future for the next generation of students.
