2020 - 2021 Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) appeals update
The latest information from the Department of Education (DfE) is that the results of the CIF 2020 to 2021 appeals round will be announced within the next 10 days.
The appeals were for applicants who felt that their Condition Improvement Fund bids had been assessed incorrectly. After securing over £25m for our clients in June when the results were first announced we are hoping to receive some further positive approvals in the coming days.
This year the DfE awarded a record £616m for 2,056 condition improvement and expansion projects after the government announced additional funding in June.
Although the official guidance for the 2021 to 2022 round has yet to be published the team is busy preparing new bids. We are working to the traditional deadlines of 27th November for the registration of new applicants and 11th December for the submission of all applications, with results published in the Spring.
