Michael Durham joins the Surveyors to Education Team
We are very pleased to welcome Michael Durham to the expanding Surveyors to Education team.
Having owned a construction and plumbing company, as well as a manufacturing joinery workshop, Michael has built a strong reputation in his career through giving honest and experienced advice as well as quality guidance in a construction and cost environment.
In the last five years he has worked as a construction manager for the Department of Education executive branch (ESfa) overseeing from inception to completion 50 new and part refurbished schools worth over £450mil throughout the North of England.
Michael has previously worked with NHS hospitals as a consultant and advisor on facilitating the needs of people with disabilities who are mainly home based, as well as being a key part of a Government backed pilot: the ‘Sanctuary Scheme’. The scheme was set up to help support and give safety guidance to vulnerable people making sure they are comfortable and secure in their home environment.
The breadth of knowledge and experience Michael brings to Surveyors to Education will provide invaluable insight into the challenges trusts and academies face during a working year and will be instrumental in helping the team and our clients move key issues forward.
Michael is CIOB qualified, lives in Lincolnshire and serves clients in the North of England.
