Rethinking the academy and MAT estate
We are delighted to confirm that S2e will be chairing a workshop at the forthcoming ISBL National Conference.
The event, will be taking place on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 November 2021 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, Birmingham.
There will be sixteen workshop sessions across the two-days and we will be presenting workshop 6, on Thursday 11 November 2021 which will run from 2.35pm to 3.35pm.
The title of our workshop is “Rethinking the development and funding of the academy & MAT estate” and during the session we will be covering the following topics:
where is capital funding now and where will it be in the future
managing capital expenditure under the evolving academy structure
the demise of LA estates teams and the rise of estate managers within trusts
different types of SCA prioritisation and management
the push for SATs to become MATs and what does this mean for capital funding
The ISBL National Conference aims to provide confidence in the school business leadership community and this year’s event focuses on what school business professionals need to consider to guarantee the most effective use of their resources, including personnel, to deliver the greatest opportunities for pupil progress and development as we enter this new phase of education delivery in the UK.
The conference will be delivered both virtually and in-person. For those who are unable to attend, the show be streamed live via the conference platform and content will be available on demand soon after its broadcast time, and for 30 days after the event.
