Martin Hier to present at Strictly Education Conference
Strictly Education 4S Premises Management Conference, Epson Downs Racecourse, Thursday 6th February.
On Thursday 6th February, Surveyors to Education Director, Marin Hier, will be presenting at the Strictly Education 4S Premises Management Conference.
The conference, which is being held at the Epson Downs Racecourse, is titled ‘Collaborating to ensure highly effective school estates.
Martin will be speaking to approximately 60 School Business Managers, Bursars, Facilities Managers and Headteachers on the many and varied estate challenges they face and how to overcome them using actual client case studies from previous work undertaken.
Many multi-academy trusts and their schools are under increasing pressure to accommodate new pupils or expand their offering. Consequently, new facilities are required in order to absorb this growth and Martin will discuss how they have worked with schools and academies to fund and build new:
Sports Halls
Nurseries
Sixth Forms
In addition, Martin will discuss the challenges Trusts face when:
Moving from CIF to SCA funding
Planning SCA expenditure
Improving condition and establishing 10-year maintenance plans
The conference is being hosted by Bill Davies, the Organisational Development Lead at Strictly Education. He will be leading the meeting and speaking on how to respond positively to challenges in premises management. There will also be a series of workshops for delegates on a range of topics from safeguarding and outsourcing to energy efficiency and building compliance.
