Guidance from the Department for Education has set a deadline of 1 February for schools and colleges to claim back up to £4,000 spent on RAAC surveys. Qualifying claims will be able to receive funding for up to £4,000 (including VAT) per setting.

Just over a week ago, the RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) story emerged, raising critical concerns about the structural integrity of school buildings. Since then, our dedicated team has been working tirelessly to address the urgent RAAC needs of schools across the country.

As RAAC surveying and remediation specialists we have been at the forefront of gathering data on RAAC to understand the extent of the problem - to date we have identified it in approximately 5% of all the surveys we have undertaken and are now supporting those affected clients with remediation and removal work, and in the short term getting their pupils safely back into school.
